£2,500 Raised for Alcester Cafe

After the hugely succesful concert 'A Right Royal Prom' held in the Greig Hall, Alcester on Saturday 15th June, our Chair, Mo Lancaster, was delighted to hand over a cheque for £2,500 to the Alcester Cafe.  The cheque was the proceeds raised at the concert where the Alcester Victoria Silver Band and the Tarantara Choir got together for the first time - but hopefully not for the last time!

The Alcester Cafe is a drop-in cafe, held twice weekly, dedicated to help support people with memory problems/dementia, their families, carers, former carers and interested professional people.  The Cafe provides opportunities to share emotions in a safe environment and help prevent isolation and encourage peer support.  For more details about the Alcester Cafe please visit their website at www.alcesterdementiacafe.org
